After his 35th year in business, Sam Corigliano, owner of the Marina Cafe in Great Kills, will be retiring, leaving the restaurant in his kids' hands.
It's hard to find someone who hasn't enjoyed a warm, summer afternoon or evening meal and drinks at the Marina Cafe. Sam Corigliano has maintained this dockside, fine-dining establishment for the past thirty-five years, and is now passing the torch to his son, Joe LaBriola, and daughter, Rosemarie Saladino. Each of his children have been involved in this business for the past several years and Corigliano is confident the business will continue to thrive.
The Marina Cafe suffered heavy damages after Hurricane Sandy struck in the fall of 2012, and major renovations kept the restaurant closed for over a year. Thankfully, business is booming once again, especially at the start of summer when the school year ends and more people are coming out and looking for a nice place for a summer meal.
