Students of Port Richmond High School in Port Richmond are afforded the opportunity to attend after-school culinary classes as part of the NeON Arts Program.

Throughout the 14-week program, students were able to learn basic cooking skills, recipes, knife skills, food safety training. They should have no problem finding a job in the culinary field since they've also been able to receive their food handler's license and gained valuable resume-building tips.

The focus of the NeON Arts Program is to introduce young people to various artistic avenues in a controlled setting. Aside from culinary, other programs include animation, music, and documentary skills.
