Rosebank is an area of Staten Island’s North Shore bordered by Fort Wadsworth and Concord. It was originally named Peterstown. In the early 1900s, this neighborhood was home to mainly Italian immigrants, exemplified by the Garibali-Meucci Museum. Other notable establishments here include the Alice Austen House and the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Grotto historic religious district. The main school within the Rosebank limits is P.S. 13, with P.S 57 and many others in the surrounding areas. Commuting from Rosebank is a breeze since it is served by the local S51, S52, S78, and S81 buses, as well as the X1, X2, X3, and X9 express buses. Additionally, the Clifton stop of the Staten Island Railway is just a few blocks away, leading to the St. George Ferry Terminal.
