Silver Lake - Staten Island, NY

The neighborhood of Silver Lake is based around the lake of the same name, and is bordered by Tompkinsville, Sunset Hill, and Grymes Hill. There is also a reservoir located here, and it now serves as Staten Island’s largest body of fresh water. The lake itself is surrounded by a large, 18-hole golf course and public park with tennis courts, baseball field, and dog run. The lake and park areas make up more than half of the neighborhood. There are many colonial-style houses here, as well as larger, privately-owned apartment buildings. Nearby schools are P.S. 14, P.S. 45, I.S. 49, and I.S. 61. Silver lake is served by many local buses and the X30 express bus.
