Ward Hill - Staten Island, NY

Ward Hill is a raised area of land contained within Tompkinsville. Much of the property on Ward Hill is positioned on the hillsides which extend downward from Todt Hill. The wealthier areas of Staten Island were once reserved for only the most elite New York residents. One such resident, Caleb T. Ward, for whom the area is named, constructed a Greek-style mansion which still stands today and has been designated a New York City Landmark. Ward Hill is the closest hill to the Staten Island Ferry, which makes travel to Manhattan extremely easy. Because of the breathtaking views offered here, Ward Hill is full of luxurious and expensive homes.
