Willowbrook - Staten Island, NY

Willowbrook is centrally located on Staten Island, bordered by Bulls Head to the west, New Springville to the south, Manor Heights to the east, and Westerleigh to the North. During the Revolutionary War, this was the site of many secret meetings of the Committee of Safety. And during World War II, Halloran General Hospital, the largest Army hospital in the country, was operated here. Today, the neighborhood is considered desirable and contains many residential homes. It is also the site of a large city park, Willowbrook Park, where many seasonal events are held. P.S. 54 and I.S. 51 are located directly in Willowbrook, with P.S. 60, P.S. 69, and I.S. 72 just a short distance away. Many local and express bus routes service this area.
