The Staten Island Chamber of Commerce held a reception at the Hilton Garden Inn on Friday, December 5th, for the winners of the 53rd Annual Building Awards.
The judging panel was made up of over 20 representatives from various business in the real estate industry. Categories being judged were Exterior, Interior, Craftsmanship, Natural Beauty, Interior Decorating, Green Building, Art, and Outdoor Space Design. An Award of Excellence is the highest honor by category, followed by Awards of Achievement, which signify recognition by the panel while falling just short of the standards.

The Chairman's Award is the absolute highest honor the committee can bestow upon one residential building and one commercial building. In the commercial division, this award was given to Glev V. Cutrona, AIA, of Glen V. Cutrona Associates for his work on Annadale Terrace (pictured above). He received Excellence in Exterior, Interior, Craftsmanship, Natural Beauty, Interior Design, Art, and Outdoor Space Design. Clifford Siegel of Cee Jay Real Estate Development Corp won the Chairman's Award for Residential Excellence in Exterior, Interior, Craftsmanship, Natural Beauty, and Interior Decorating of an Egbertville home (pictured below).

Other big winners include Annmarie Ruta of Elegant Interior Designs Inc., Monello Enterprises Inc, Rampulla Associates Architects LLP, and Ronit Lapid-Design Consultant.
