How many of you attended the Borough President's Summer Concert last Thursday at Wolfe's Pond Park featuring Charlie Poveromo and Vinnie Medugno?  These great voices, introduced by Cousin Brucie, WCBS, entertained their audience with songs from yesteryear, including Humperdinck, Sinatra, Dean Martin, Andy Williams, just to name a few.  If you missed this performance, check it out live on Facebook at the following link:  https://www.facebook.com/VinnieMedugnoOfficial/#

Did you reserve your "Go Healthy Food Box" for this week?  I reserved my sack of freshly harvested produce and picked it up on Tuesday.  Check out this bounty which included Romaine lettuce, tomatoes (vine & cherry), squash, corn, cucumber, onion, frying peppers and oregano sprigs--all for only $10.

If you missed the info from my "Events" last week, go to Goodhue Center, 304 Prospect Ave. on Tuesday from 4-6 and every week until November to reserve your sack for the following week.  You can sign up, reserve and pay for a sack to be picked up the next week.  Payment is by credit card, cash, NYS Health Bucks and soon by EBT.  Each week you will receive a new recipe.  Last week's recipe was  "Zucchini and Corn Salad with Fresh Herbs".  Samples of the recipe are available as well as helpful hints about how to freeze your favorite produce, how to store for the longest life and much more.
