The following is a guest post by Richard Capuozzo, the first in a new series highlighting Staten Island business leaders and entrepreneurs:

Calling all aspiring photographers, or art enthusiasts on Staten Island.  Did you know that in the historic Snug Harbor neighborhood of Staten Island, there is a gallery which is a great venue for you to show off your talent, or stop by to see what other photographers are producing from behind their lens!

Creative Photographers Guild is the only Art Gallery on Staten Island dedicated solely to Photography. We've been in existence for more than 5 years and were started by George Roos, a professional photographer based on Staten Island. George wanted to create a space where photographers could show their work and talent. He turned over his studio to the group so we could create a gallery for public viewing. We have a new show every six weeks using themes created by members.

The Creative Photographers Guild is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization comprised of photographers whose sole interest is to provide a vibrant avenue for the promotion and appreciation of the creative and innovative world of photography to the Greater New York community, especially Staten Island.

We currently have 15 members and would welcome anyone in the community to join our group by stopping at the gallery to pick up a membership application. Additionally, you can contact our membership director, Richard Xuereb at iphoto101@hotmail.com.

We are located at 814 Richmond Terrace and Tysen Street across from Snug Harbor and are easy to get to by car or local Staten Island buses S40 or S90.  If you are coming to Staten Island using the Staten Island ferry you can switch to the local buses from the ferry terminal.  We are open from 12pm until 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year except for holidays. We also welcome visitors to our openings on the first Saturday night of each show from 5pm to 8pm.  Stop by and see us our latest show.  We love to see new people who appreciate the arts.  Hope to see you soon!
