When was the last time you skated on ice? As a kid, I skated on Allison Pond in Randall Manor and Martlings Pond in Clove Lakes. Then the War Memorial Rink on Victory Blvd. at Clove Lakes Park was built, and those fun skating parties began. Every other weekend we enjoyed pot luck dinners after skating for hours. Skating is exhilarating and healthy and won’t break the budget. You can rent skates if you don’t own your own, invite your friends and family to meet and start you own traditions. Get out and have some fun!
