Need a dress for the prom?  The Nothing New Thrift Shop, 4916 Arthur Kill Rd. is collecting gently worn prom dresses and formal gowns and will distribute the collection FREE for those in need on Saturday, 4/15 at 5.  One hundred dresses have been collected so far to give away and many more are expected over the next couple of weeks.  All dresses are dry-cleaned. Staten Islanders can meet with commissioners and top City Hall staff when Mayor Bill deBlasio sets up shop in Borough Hall on Tuesday, 4/11 through 4/13 from 9-1 at 10 Richmond Terr. You can sign up for a specific time at nyc.gov/CHinSI to meet with your City Hall representative regarding questions and concerns about city services or issues impacting your communications. Borough President Oddo suggests that if you cannot make it to Borough Hall, you should email him direction at joddo@statislandusa.com and he will bring it directly to the appropriate agency head.
