The Tottenville area of Staten Island offers residents peaceful areas to relax and have fun with their families. Daytrips to nearby Tottenville parks are convenient to their homes and make the southernmost spot of New York City a popular residential area.

  • Tottenville Shore Park is at Bentley Street, Arthur Kill Road, and Hopping Avenue. Sweet gum and black cherry are grown throughout the property, which spans over 9 acres. The park is also a great spot for bird watching.
  • Lemon Creek Park is right off of Hylan Boulevard, from Sharrott Avenue to Seguine Avenue. At the foot of Sharrott Avenue is the Lemon Creek fishing pier where locals can try their luck at hooking striped bass, bluefish, weakfish or flounder. Hand-sculpted blue fish of ceramic rest at the foot of the fishing pier. Lemon Creek Park covers 105.77 acres. Figures of dolphins, egrets and turtles decorate the inviting gazebo to create a pleasant resting place for visitors as they enjoy the water views. Trails and a shaded pavilion at the boat launch near Bayview Avenue offer vistas of Prince's Bay and the clay bluffs. Other facilities at Lemon Creek Park include playgrounds, dog runs, marinas and kayak/canoe launch sites.

Residents use the park facilities at Tottenville pool regularly. The pools and facilities are on 3.26 acres of land. The large pool is 60 ft. wide and 75 ft. long. The depth is 3 .5 ft. Up to 750 people can splash away in the pool at a time. A shallower "kiddie pool" is only 1.5 ft. deep. The 24 foot square pool offers an area for the little ones to play and not worry about being in the way of the older people who take their water activities more seriously.

There is no charge to use the public pools or the other facilities of the park. A first aid building, comfort stations and lockers add to the convenience of having a local pool in the immediate area. A seasonal concession stand, picnic tables and a children's play area make the Tottenville pool a destination for a day of fun for people living in Tottenville. The park is found on Hylan Boulevard, between Sprague and Joline Avenues.
