What did you do last weekend?  Meet the Greyhounds, adopt a precious kitten or watch TV wrapped up in a warm sweatshirt or sweater sipping hot cocoa?  This weekend will warm up a bit so get out of the house and enjoy the fresh air.

Help your children to move away from TV and computers with FREE Zumba classes every Saturday for ages 5-12 at 11:00 a.m. and 13 and older at 12:00 p.m. at the Berry Houses Friendship Club, 211 Jefferson St.  Call 718-979-0010 for info.

Today is November 7—25 mph is the new 30!  In case you don’t read the newspaper, watch TV or listen to the radio, Mayor de Blasio has signed a new law changing the speed limit on local streets to 25 mph.  This restriction only applies to streets where no speed limit is posted.  Highways and parkways with still have higher limits and school zones and other areas will still have lower speeds.  People--let’s try to comply with the new law and stay safe!  With that said, let me tell you about all the fun things that are happening on our Island this weekend.
