As kids, we would transform our already spooky unfinished basement into a Spook House during October and charge the neighborhood kids to be a part of our extravaganza.  My oldest sister, Ellen, was the imaginative and industrious one in the family; the rest of us played along.  We also had Chinese Auctions in our basement, getting rid of toys and having “how many marbles in a jar” contests.  Again, the neighborhood kids paid to win our old toys and hang out with us. We had so much fun--thanks Ellen for the memories!  Well, you can participate in the annual Fright Night Festival at the Church of St. Andrew at 40 Old Mill Rd. on Saturday from 7-9:30.  Call 718-351-0900 for ticket info.  Sounds like a scary and fun evening for all!
