Have you had a chance to enjoy FALL? I know you’ve probably been watching the leaves decorate your yard which, of course, leads to raking into many bags for pick-up, but I suggest walking in the park or on the street and watching the landscape change colors before the weather becomes too cold. During the week, I ventured into nature and began capturing the beauty of Fall. Check out the pictures of a young boy showing me his find--a salamander, worms, beetles and whatever else is in his container! If you would like to share any photos you take, please do not hesitate to forward them.
Did you attend Pat Salmon’s presentation of The Vanderbilts: An Empire Founded on Staten Island at the Conference House or attend the Pumpkin Patch Festival at the Hill Street Garden or the STEM Family Day: Optical Illusion Toys at MakerSpace? Did you try your hand at Quilting for all Ages at Ft. Wadsworth? Or learn about the Navajo Code Talkers at the Art Workshop at Snug Harbor? I hope you honored a Veteran this week by attending the Veterans Day Parade or participating in the tribute at St. John’s University or by just shaking his/her hand and thanking them for their service. May God bless our Veterans!
Did you go to any Holiday/Christmas Fairs this weekend? Holy Family, Holy Child, St. Roch/St. Adalbert? The fairs will put you immediately into a festive mood. See schedule below for this week's fairs. Below are photos from St. Roch/St. Adalbert Fair in Port Richmond.
