Page Avenue in Tottenville has seen its share of retail growth over the past few years. With shopping plazas featuring everything from hair salons, frozen yogurt joints, upscale restaurants, and even Staten Island’s first drive-thru Starbucks, the area has become a convenience for neighborhood shoppers. Charleston shopping plaza featuring big box stores like Target, Home Depot, Christmas Tree Shops, and Bed Bath & Beyond is just minutes away. Thankfully, shoppers can look forward to even more welcome change with the renovation of “Tottenville Square” shopping plaza located at the corner of Page Avenue and Amboy Road.

By summer of 2014, the “Tottenville Square” renovation will be complete, adding 9,300 square feet of retail space. Walgreen’s and Qdoba Mexican Grill are among the new additions to the plaza. They will join existing businesses like Thriftway Cards and Gifts, Villa Monte pizzeria, W's Bar & Restaurant, Sharda Wine & Liquor, Blow Out Hair Studio, and Quest Diagnostics. The plazas façade will be refaced in brick to update the look and feel of the space. The parking lot will be reconfigured to better facilitate the flow of traffic, and repaved for a fresh new look.
For homeowners in Tottenville, Richmond Valley, & other surrounding areas, the changes are welcome and long overdue. The plazas last renovation took place 15 years ago! These improvements are just one more reason why living on the south shore is even more convenient than ever before.
